FAVORITE THINGS ABOUT MY HOMETOWN/COUNTRY
I enjoy the island life! One cannot help but become mesmerized by many of our native delicacies that include: conch, crab, and grouper cuisines. The Bahamas consists of a beautiful archipelago and each island has many unique hidden treasures, making it the number one vacation destination in the world! I love the hospitality of the Bahamian people and the rich and diverse culture that is present. The sound of the thunderous goatskin drums not to mention the vibrant and skillfully adorned Junkanoo costumes pieces are nothing less than captivating. All of these things make the Bahamas culturally diverse and they are enough to make me say, "I am proud to be Bahamian!"
LIFE'S AMBITITIONS
My ambition is to be a very strong, successful, independent, educated young woman of moral character in today's society. Which ever direction my path may lead, I want to excel and exceed people's expectations. "Perfection is my Profession," and in saying this, I will strive to continue to develop myself by exuding confidence, showing a greater sense of commitment and enthusiasm, and by using each day as a learning experience to build character. It is also my aim to reach out to troubled individuals in our society, especially young women. It is my hope to help them grasp a better understanding of their potential and how they to can play a pivotal role as leaders in our society.
HOBBIES
My hobbies include: dancing, relaxing on the beach, listening to music, writing poetry, taking long rides in the afternoon, socializing, photography, and assisting those that are less fortunate than I am - for I have proven that one person, can make a difference.
MY GOALS IN LIFE
I would like to be successful in everything that I do and that comes with attaining experience and knowledge from a vast number of areas. Career wise, I would like work in the field of hospitality because I have a passion for meeting people and learning more about other cultures and backgrounds. Presently, The Bahamas' number one industry is on its knees and I would like to help make recommendations to help improve our tourism product. It is my goal to expand my horizons in order to understand and appreciate those things that we often take for granted as Bahamians. I see myself as an instrumental individual playing a vital role in helping to preserve tourism here in the Bahamas while promoting -"One people united in love and service."
MY BEST ASSET IS
My best asset would have to be my ability to listen and relate to others. I strongly believe that all of my experiences, whether positive or negative have had a meaningful purpose and it's because of these unforgettable experiences, I have been able to be a listening ear and offer positive words of encouragement to others.
MY DAILY PHILOSOPHY IS
"When an affliction happens to you, you either let it defeat you or you defeat it." From personal experience, I am a true survivor, and I will continue to rise amidst the trials and tribulations before me - that is the mark of a true champion - one that presses forward and never gives up!
THE MOVIE (AND/OR BOOK) THAT MOST INFLUENCED MY LIFE
The movie that I would have to say impacted my life the most would have to be "The Pursuit of Happyness" starring Will Smith. The reason I choose this movie is because it contains a profound message that everyone can relate to. After being knocked down so many times, one may feel hopeless and defeated. You may feel like you have experienced the worse possible outcome, however, remember you are in control of your destiny! Never cry over spilled milk, instead, dust yourself off, re-group, re-think, and re-surface. "The Pursuit of Happyness" has also taught me that nothing is going to happen before its time. Not because you may think all odds are against you and you need a resolution right away, it's going to happen. I firmly believe that we are supposed to experience the worst in life because it is intended to bring out our best!
WHO I WOULD LIKE TO MEET AND WHY
The person I am dying to meet is Oprah Winfrey. She has such an interesting story. Despite her many struggles throughout growing up, she still managed to take full control of her life to become one of the most successful, respected, influential black women not only the United States, but across the globe. I would like to ask her what inspired her to keep hope alive, and how is it to this day despite her many negative experiences, she still wears a smile and has the insatiable drive to help others.

I am most motivated by negative people who think of me as everything less than the best. They inspire me to keep pressing forward.
WHAT I WOULD LIKE THE JUDGES TO KNOW ABOUT ME IS
I enjoy meeting and interacting with new people everyday - hey... it's my job and I love it! Going above and beyond the call of duty is something I do naturally. I am a very warm, smart, confident, and poised young lady with a crazy sense of humor, and I am sure that I have what it takes to be the next Miss Bahamas World.
MY COMMUNITY SERVICE/ACHIEVEMENTS ARE
My community service includes: assisting at the Bilney Lane Children Home and mentoring and grooming young ladies.
