LIFE'S AMBITITIONS
I am an aspiring nurse and entrepreneur. In the future, I plan to be working in the community as a registered nurse. I want to specialize in community health nursing and work with the Department of Public Health in addressing the major health problems that affect us as a Bahamian nation. I would also like to do some service in the area of school health, HIV/AIDS and in various community clinic settings. I want to get my Masters Degree in education and use my experience in nursing to teach at the College of the Bahamas' School of Nursing where I can develop the minds of future health care professionals. Additionally, I am planning to open an upscale boutique to bring my sense of style, glamour and fashion to the world.

HOBBIES
My hobbies include dancing, print modeling, drawing, art and design, cooking and interacting with new and exciting people, cultures and places.

MY GOALS IN LIFE
My life's goal is to be a success in all of my endeavors, to pursue my purpose in life, to live life with love, meaning and enthusiasm and to make a difference in a positive way. I have laid out a map to these goals and my plan of action is to take it one day at a time.

MY BEST ASSET IS
My mind. I say this because my mind is a powerful tool. With it there is nothing I can not achieve. To me, success starts in the mind; you must first believe in yourself and think positively. Then use your mind to set goals and work towards accomplishments. I can do anything I can think of and thus my mind is my most powerful asset as it guides and shapes the other components of my life.

MY DAILY PHILOSOPHY IS
"Live Life to the Fullest". Take advantage of every opportunity presented to you. Go after every dream and desire. Strive for excellence and be secure in who you are and happy with yourself.

THE MOVIE (AND/OR BOOK) THAT MOST INFLUENCED MY LIFE
My favorite movie is Happy Feet. The movie highlighted a penguin who unlike the others of his kind could not sing. He tapped. As a result, he was an outcast and was looked down upon because he was different. In the end it was his ability to tap dance that led him to save his kind from starvation. The message I took from the movie was dynamic. We are all uniquely and wonderfully created for our specific purpose in life. I am different, unique, wonderful and proud of it.

WHO I WOULD LIKE TO MEET AND WHY
If I could travel through time, I would like to meet myself in 40 years. It would be very interesting to have a glance into where my decisions, preparation and opportunities had lead me. I know where I am going but having additional insight could also be useful. I would enjoy seeing the legacy I had left behind. I would love to talk to and get advice and words of wisdom from someone who knows me best. Unfortunately they have not invented time travel devices yet, so I would settle for meeting Oprah Winfrey. She is a powerful woman who has overcome many obstacles to get to where she is today. Meeting her would be just as enjoyable.

I AM MOTIVATED BY
I would say that my biggest motivation comes from God. He gives me strength and courage and placed within me a positive sense of self, ability and drive. My motivation thus comes from within. My actions are not made with the sole intention of pleasing my parents, the crowd or people in general. When I do things, I do them because I want to; I want to make myself proud. I find that any action that comes from my heart is done to the best of my ability and full heartedly. By applying this to my everyday life, I am able to live up to my full potential, make meaningful decisions and strive harder because I truly want to enhance myself.

WHAT I WOULD LIKE THE JUDGES TO KNOW ABOUT ME IS
I am an individual who possesses beauty, charm, intelligence, personality and grace. I am growing from this experience and am making the most of this opportunity. I am hard working, focused, determined, eager and willing. This experience has brought out the best in me and made me want now more than ever to represent myself and country as the next Miss Bahamas World. As Miss Bahamas World 2009, I will display beauty, charm, grace, personality, confidence and a positive character and morals. I will be a positive role model, spokesperson and good will ambassador for my country. As a representative for the country, I will do a great job in promoting the Bahamas as a first class destination and exemplifying the kind and friendly nature of our people. I will also contribute to my country by working with my platform and taking it to another level. Health care and health issues affect us all because diseases do not happen in isolation. Even if you are not suffering directly from a disease or illness, you may have a mother, dad or child who is. I feel that with education on health reform I can contribute to my country by giving them the knowledge that they need to help themselves. Together, with knowledge as the driving force, we can prevent diseases, lower epidemic rates, promote healthy practices and heal the nation.

MY COMMUNITY SERVICE/ACHIEVEMENTS INCLUDE

2. Working with the elders at the Grand Bahama Old Folks Home
3. Community Service at Princess Margaret Hospital
4. Volunteer work with beach cleanup and fun, run, walk events
