FAVORITE THINGS ABOUT MY HOMETOWN/COUNTRY
The Bahamas is a country made up of people who stand together to fight for the common good.  We are a family who has continued to strive for excellence in everything that we do and are always finding innovative ways to motivate each other to do their very best.  Like a typical family we’ve had, and will continue to have our various conflicts, disagreements and confrontations but also, like a family will have and will continue to overcome them.

LIFE'S AMBITITIONS
Subsequent to completing this chapter in my life’s story as not only the new Miss Bahamas World, but also Miss World 2008 - 2009,  I plan to pursue my education at Dalhousie University obtaining my Bachelor’s degree in Biology then going on to obtain a PhD in Obstetrics and Gynecology.  Once completed, I will come back to the Bahamas to start not only a family, but also my own practice.

HOBBIES
I love to read literature, and write short stories about everyday circumstances faced as a young Bahamian living in today’s society.  Over the years I’ve compiled a little book that I may look into publishing later on in life.  Also, I love to play basketball, tennis, volleyball and swim, but the thing I am most passionate about is dance.

MY GOALS IN LIFE
My short time goals are to become the next Miss Bahamas World,  Miss World 2008 - 2009, excel in my studies and to become a role model that other young Bahamian girls would want to emulate.  Some longtime goals include becoming a well educated doctor, and in some way assisting the government with opening another public hospital, but my ultimate goal in life is simply to find true happiness.

MY BEST ASSET IS
My best asset would have to not only be my height but also my drive for success.  Throughout my primary and early teenage years I was “average height,” but ever since the summer subsequent to entering grade ten I literally “shot up over night”.  All of a sudden I was taller than all my friends and soon enough the majority of my family and as a result I viewed my height as a tremendous disadvantage.  Over the years I have learned to not only love and accept, but also embrace my height and today I can proudly declare that this is one of my best assets.

MY DAILY PHILOSOPHY IS
I was made perfect for my purpose.

THE MOVIE (AND/OR BOOK) THAT MOST INFLUENCED MY LIFE
The book that has most influenced my life is “The Purpose Driven Life” written by Rick Warren.  The reason for this is simply because it helped me to realize and understand God’s purpose for creating me.

WHO I WOULD LIKE TO MEET AND WHY
Someday I would like to meet Tyra Banks, mainly because her level of confidence and resiliency has inspired me tremendously and I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation to her personally.

I AM MOTIVATED BY
I am motivated by my purpose. I know that there is something in this world that needs to be accomplished or someone’s life that needs to be touched and only I can do it and this in itself is all the motivation I need.

WHAT I WOULD LIKE THE JUDGES TO KNOW ABOUT ME IS
I am a lady of beauty, grace, intelligence, integrity, confidence and self respect.  Though I believe in ensuring that one’s outward appearance should be up to par, true beauty shines from within.  Along with experience come maturity, and life’s challenges have taught me numerous lessons which I feel obliged to relay to other young Bahamian women, the most important being that we are all as beautiful as we allow ourselves to be and nothing is impossible with a little bit of faith. My involvement in this pageant has been nothing short of amazing, and from it I have built life long friendships and attained certain qualities and femininity that I will carry with me forever. I have learnt that one doesn’t have to wear a crown to be considered a queen,  but if selected as the New Miss Bahamas World  I will  indeed and make my myself and my country proud!
