| Miss Bahamas World Tinnyse Johnson and Miss Bahamas Beauty of the World/Top Model Bahamas Chrystal Bethel received their prizes from Mizani and Sacha Cosmetics, courtesy of Commonwealth Drugs and Beauty Supplies. The ladies received a year's supply of Mizani maintenance produts and a year's supply of Sacha Cosmetics. Miss Bahamas Beauty of the World Tiara Cooper could not attend the prize presentation as she is in Ghana competing in the Miss Face of the Universe pageant. Her prizes will be presented to her upon her return. Mizani and Sacha Cosmetics are official sponsors of the Miss Bahamas World Beauty Pageant. |

| Special recognition was also given to two Puerto Rican fashion designers who have been very supportive of the Miss Bahamas Organization. Reynaldo Jose, who also served as a judge, was recognized for his role in dressing Miss Bahamas World 2007 Anya Watkins for the Miss World pageant, as well as providing dresses for the contestants to wear in the 2008 pageant. Hector Joaquin Gonzales received a plaque on behalf of Carlos Alberto, who designed Anya's gown for the Miss World pageant, and provided several gowns of the show's host Leslia Miller. MBO President Michelle Malcolm was also caught off guard as her team surprised her with a beautiful plaque of appreciation for her role as founding president of the organization. |

| SUNDAY JUNE 29, 2008 - Following months of training, and weeks of competition, the big night had finally arrived! Under the theme "Pure Elegance", the grand finale of the 2008 Miss Bahamas World pageant was held at the Rainforest Theatre, Cable Beach. A capacity crowd was on hand to witness the spectacular event. The show began with a electrifying opening dance featuring the contestants in a hot pink ensemble with silver sequins accessories! Immediately following the dance, the contestants introduced themselves to the audience. Which of the fierce fifteen would emerge the new Miss Bahamas World at the end of the night? |
