Dances of the World taping

Sienna’s beautiful costume was created by Patrice Lockhart. Special thanks to Commonwealth Fabrics for their generous donation of the Androsia fabric used in the gown.

Old San Juan came alive with color and culture as the contestants paraded in their national costumes for the beloved Dances of the World segment of the competition. Dances of the World has been a renowned performance at the Miss World Final ever since its introduction. This dance gives each contestant the opportunity to present the colours and culture of their country through dress and dance. There are almost one hundred countries taking part in Miss World this year and so a beautiful variety of colours, fabrics and stories to tell. Designed by Patrice Lockhart, Sienna’s dress is a traditional dance dress commonly worn by the national dancers in the Bahamas. It is made from colourful hand printed Androsia fabric, the national treasure of Andros Island, Bahamas. The colours represent the vibrancy and warmth of her country and people.

South Africa and Bahamas adorn their national costumes.
